Top 10 Reasons to Visit Pooja in India!

So this past May, 1 bean burrito (Megan Dorsey) and 2 Jews (Emily Farber and me, Lauren Kaplan) traveled half way around the world to visit one Pooja Rani Bhatia in southern India. Despite the occasional bout of food poisoning, heat stroke and auto rickshaw driver, we had a trip of a lifetime, and it’s all thanks to Pooja, the best tour guide, translator (even if it was in English) and bargainer a girl could ask for. Therefore I have created the top 10 reasons that everyone should visit Pooja in India:

10. She knows the best pools to sneak into…with peacocks and everything.

9. She knows how to order everything perfectly. DELISH!

8. She knows how to negotiate to get both the best deal AND the cutest trek guides

7. She knows where to get special tea! (aka kingfisher in the south)

6. She’ll teach you bhangra (aka turn the light bulb, I don’t know, I don’t know)

5. She’ll let you ride on the back of the scooty…even when you have no balance

4. She’ll surprise visit you in Delhi and invite you to her grandma/nanima’s house

3. She buys you ridiculously good looking hats to stay cool from 120 F temperatures

2. She is Hindu, which means she can get in anywhere and tell you what it’s like

1. And lastly, she is the best fabindia shopping companion a girl could ask for!

Okay in conclusion, for some of us, India is a crazy, overwhelming place, but experienced alongside a great group of friends, and a GREAT tour guide will ensure that you too have a trip of a lifetime!

Thanks Pooj!!!
