Things I wish I had known before deciding to leave the country for 1 year...

5. I walk down the street with Bollywood music stuck in my head. And sometimes, I even sing aloud. What happened to hip-hop?

4. I have officially become a really bad "Celebrity" game player. Oh, and I don't understand any pop culture references or current events. It's bad and awkward and no one wants me on their team. Thank god I can still make a good 7 layer dip ;)

3. Everything tastes bland. Pizza, Thai food and even the occasional burrito...am I really that addicted to my garam masala?

2. I can't stop converting everything to Rupees. My yoga class is 700 Rs., I spend 100 Rs. on a bus ride down the block and let's just say, goldflakes don't quite have an equivalent monitary replacement here.*

1. My internal body temperature is now on "Indian weather." Aka I think 65 degrees Farenheit (17.22 degrees Celsius) is too cold for leaving the house and I have a cold (sniff sniff) after being in 70 degree weather all weekend.

*Using the conversion scale of 50 Rs. to $1. I know, I know, it's technically 48.something...but that's too hard to convert in my head. Also add I have no math skills anymore, only haggling skills, to the list.
